How it plays

Every round is a question worth answering rather than a puzzle to solve. You write three things about yourself and let the room guess which one is invented, or you pick a side and defend it. Koven shows how the room split and then moves on. Nobody is eliminated, nobody falls behind, and the whole thing can be stopped after two rounds or run for half an hour without it feeling unfinished.

What happens in a round

Straight from the game itself: these are the phases the room moves through, in order, with the clock each one starts on.

  1. Two truths and a lie

Write three things about yourself. One of them is not true.

    90 seconds

  2. Your turn

Pick one. There is no wrong answer, only an answer you defend.

    20 seconds

  3. How the room split

Here is what everybody said. Argue about it while you can.

How you can play it

  • Pass and play

One phone, passed around the room. No signal needed, no accounts, nothing to set up.

  • Online room

Everybody on their own phone, in the same room or three hundred miles apart. Guests join with a four letter code and no download.

Play it with your own words

Every format runs on a deck, and you can write your own. A deck you make is yours to share with your family by code straight away. Anything you publish to strangers is read by a moderator first.
